Fall Family Trip!

We headed out on our trip at 7am this morning, stopped by Stax Omega for breakfast, then on to the mountains for our family adventure.  Alex wasn't too sure about this because it definitely wasn't the most peaceful trip up the mountain with Phillip chattering about everything and nothing while Ally cried all the way up.  The fall colors were beautiful, though!

Every 10 minutes, Phillip would ask, "are we there yet" with a reply from one of, "no, not yet!!!"  Finally, we arrived in Asheville and at the entrance of Biltmore Estate.  The cars were flooding in (of course)!  We headed towards Antler Hill Farm where the kids can pet the farm animals.  Both Phillip and Ally loved it.  We got to see chickens, roosters, goats, sheep, a donkey, a rabbit, and even baby turkeys.

It was lunch time so we headed to the pond (still at Biltmore) and had the most beautiful view of the Biltmore House while we had a picnic.  It was so nice!

After lunch we headed towards Sky Top Apple Orchard.  It was so crowded but Phillip ran all over the mountain top between the apple trees and had a blast.  His favorite part this year was the bamboo area where he got his head stuck between two bamboo shoots.  We did manage to get a picture of Ally and Phillip together with the pumpkins but Ally was not amused.

It was really a fun day; exhausting but fun!  I love our little adventures with my family!
